Michael Cauthen is one of Avalair’s founding partners and currently serves as President.
Michael holds the role of Director of Operations and is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with the FAA. He also serves as a company ground and flight instructor.
Prior to forming Avalair, Michael briefly worked as an auditor for a “Big 4” public accounting firm. He began flying professionally in 2005 operating a range of aircraft from King Airs to Gulfstream V’s both domestically and internationally.
Michael earned a Master of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University, College Station.
Malte BruegmannVice President – Business Development
Malte Bruegmann is one of Avalair’s founding partners and currently serves as Vice President of Business Development.
Malte is responsible for the overall business operation of the company. He oversees all aspects of Avalair’s accounting, financial, and marketing programs. Malte also serves as a captain for air charter operations.
Adrian RichterChief Pilot
Adrian Richter is one of Avalair’s pilots and currently serves as a captain for air charter operations.
Adrian is responsible for managing all aspects of Avalair charter flights and also handles the company’s technological functions. Adrian is a Certified Flight Instructor that specializes in tailwheel and aerobatic training, and he also possesses his glider rating.
Brendan JonesDirector of Maintenance
Brendan Jones serves as Avalair’s Maintenance Supervisor.
Brendan is responsible for the tracking, scheduling, and completion of maintenance on Avalair’s aircraft.
Prior to joining the Avalair team, Brendan worked on numerous turbine aircraft as an A&P Mechanic and served as a Customer Support Engineer for Textron Aviation’s Citation fleet.
Brendan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Systems Management from Texas A&M University, College Station.

Carol Andrews serves as Avalair’s Controller.
Carol is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and risk management aspects for Avalair. Carol also manages Human Resource functions for Avalair.
Carol earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and brings over 30 years of professional accounting experience specializing in small businesses and start-ups.
Chelsea Ellisor serves as Avalair’s Aircraft Dispatcher.
Chelsea is responsible for creating charter quotes and managing the logistics on all Avalair flights. Chelsea also manages the daily accounting aspects for the company.
Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Baylor University and brings ten years of accounting experience from private investment firms.
